Elementary guardian
If you want to be reachable by other guardians in your school — the way the old paper directory worked — this is what your family card and the directory look like when you opt in.
Signing you in…
Pick a persona below and walk through Roost as that parent. Each one shows a different family shape — opted-in, private, cross-school, PTO board, district admin — so you can see what the experience would look like for you.
Elementary guardian
If you want to be reachable by other guardians in your school — the way the old paper directory worked — this is what your family card and the directory look like when you opt in.
Privacy-first guardian
If you'd rather not be browsable by everyone but still want to be findable when needed, this shows the private setting in action: you stay in the directory, but only people who know your name can find you.
Three-school guardian
If you have kids at more than one school in your district, this is the one-account-every-school view: three schools in one login, switch between them from the top of the screen.
High + elementary guardian
If you have one kid in high school and another in elementary, this is what the directory looks like across that gap: same login, two very different schools, no double-entry.
Middle school guardian
Middle school families look a little different — fewer classroom cues, more grade-level circles. If your school is grades 6–8 (or above), start here.
PTO board member
If you're on the PTO board, this is the elevated view you'd get: a bit more visibility into the directory so you can reach families for events, drives, and volunteer asks — without becoming the full school admin.
District admin
If you run the district directory, this is the full picture — every school in one place, every role in one place, audit log of every change. The admin's admin view.
Foundation board member
A foundation isn't just for current parents. Alumni families, retired staff, and community members like Priya sit on the board too — and they get the same one-login directory of everyone they serve alongside, with no kids required.
Foundation board
If you run a foundation, this is the management view — your full member roster, the committees, and the tools to reach everyone, all in one place. The admin's view of the same directory your members use.
Tip: pick any persona to jump in — then switch between Parent, PTO Board, and District admin right from the top of the screen, in the same tab. The contrast between what each one sees is the whole point. No signup, no incognito windows.
